Leaving a legacy

A bequest of items, property or financial gifts is a special way to create an enduring legacy.

By remembering the Te Papa Foundation in your will, you will be supporting future generations’ access to collections, exhibitions, science, learning and renewal.

The collections held by the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa date back to 1865 when a tiny Colonial Museum opened in Wellington – the earliest of Te Papa’s predecessors. The generosity of benefactors and their legacies over the last 150 years are enjoyed and appreciated by millions of visitors today.
