Over the course of 2020 and 2021 the Te Papa Foundation actively fundraised to support Te Papa’s efforts to bring the works of Rita Angus to the walls of Toi Art, with the Rita Angus New Zealand Modernist exhibition, at Te Papa until 25 April 2022.

A great success of the Te Papa Foundation in 2021 saw the purchase of a kiln for the Learning Programmes team, thanks to the continued generous support of the Withiel Fund Charitable Trust.  

Last year the Te Papa Foundation were delighted to be in a position to partner with some of Te Papa’s key blockbuster exhibitions. 

Te Papa Foundation are delighted to announce its goal of acquiring a new stereo-microscope and specialist camera attachment has been achieved, through the generous support of Webb’s.

In 2021 the Foundation proudly cemented its relationship with Brennan Wines as the Foundation’s official wine partner.

Each year Te Papa’s public programmes team delivers 10 Pasifika language weeks, embracing and sharing Pacific cultures and languages with Te Papa’s visitors.

It is with warm welcome that the Te Papa Foundation announces that Rt. Hon. Dame Patsy Reddy GNZM CVO QSO DStJ, and Sir David Gascoigne KNZM CBE QSO CStJ have accepted the invitation as Honorary Life Members of the Te Papa Foundation.

Te Papa recently acquired the Alexander Shaw Tapa Sampler, made possible with the generous support of the Disney Art Trust and Te Papa Foundation. 

This month saw the conclusion of our iwi-in-residence exhibition; Ko Rongowhakaata: The Story of Light and Shadow. We take a look at the journey Te Papa has been on with this iwi over the last four years of their residency.
