Brennan Wines official wine partner of Te Papa Foundation

Of the many successes seen by the Te Papa Foundation, in 2021 the Foundation proudly cemented its relationship with Brennan Wines as the Foundation’s official wine partner.

As in-person events that bring donors together to experience Te Papa is at the core of the Foundation’s work in supporting Te Papa, the Foundation went in search of a wine partner who shared our vision of supporting Te Papa and hosting exceptional events. This search for a like-minded partner led the Foundation to the wonderful team at Brennan Wines. From Gibbston, Central Otago, Brennan wines was founded in 1994 by Dr. Sir Murray Brennan GNZM, MD, FACS, now at Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, and is managed by his son Sean Brennan, who now owns, operates and is the principal wine maker.

Brennan’s range of wines cover reds (including highly awarded Gibbston Pinot Noir), a large range of whites – Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Muscat and Gewurztraminer amongst others, plus a delicious sparkling, many of which are also highly awarded. All of their grapes are grown on their Gibbston Valley property, from where they have made a significant impact on the wine world – just ask them about their B2 Pinot Noir 2011, winner of the IWC2013 award in the company of some of the best wines in the world.

With an extensive portfolio of liquid delights and innovative styles including Tempranillo, the Foundation really are in wonderful hands to offer you, our supporters, some taste sensations at our functions over the coming few years.

In sharing their story with the Foundation, Sean said that he viewed Brennan’s partnership as an opportunity to give back to New Zealand, in a positive way, by supporting the Te Papa Foundation.

The Te Papa Foundation is very appreciative of Brennan Wines’ support – thank you.
