Spring Soirée took place on 2 September 2023, marking Te Papa's 25th anniversary. It was a night of celebration filled with live music, wine, canapes, and a charity auction all in support of our national museum.

The incomparable Moses Mackay (SOL3 MIO) and pianist Dr Ludwig Treviranus performed a one night only show live inside Te Papa, accompanied on Michael Parekōwhai’s iconic artwork He Kōrero Pūrākau mo Te Awanui o Te Motu: story of a New Zealand river. This work was the centrepiece of Parekowhai’s 2011 Venice Biennale exhibition, and came out of Te Papa’s collection for this special event.
